Discover the Blue Mountains
Pass through the 2000 Olympic site at Homebush Bay en route to the Blue Mountains--an awesome Grand Canyon-like rock formation among deep valleys and cascading waterfalls. The nearby small towns are a home away from home for city folk on the weekends. Enjoy some free time at either Leura or Katoomba for lunch on your own at one of the numerous cafés or restaurants. The arts and crafts shops will intrigue you. Continue your tour with a ride on the world's steepest perpendicular railway plunging 700 feet down into the valley. Then, you'll walk for about seven minutes to the Scenicender cable car, which returns you to the top. The famous Three Sisters rocks are right in front of you, and you will catch panoramic distant views of the Jamieson Valley, Mount Solitary, the Ruined Castle, Katoomba falls and the Burraborang Valley. By coach you will return to Sydney.

Harbour Bridge & the Rocks Be guided today by a professional team who will take you on an exhilarating climb all the way to the top of the Harbour Bridge! Feel the thrill of making your way over the catwalk to the pylon and then setting out across the arch on your way to the summit. Before you lies a spectacular 360-degree view of one of the world's great harbors and cities. The climb leader will be equipped with the latest in digital photographic technology to ensure that every climber has that all-important picture of themselves and their team members at the summit of the Bridge. The climb takes three hours from the time of check in to return to base and will operate in all weather conditions with the exception of electrical storms. You will be given a bridge-suit to wear, but you are required to wear enclosed rubber soled shoes and comfortable clothing. Be prepared to be breath tested (climbers must be under .05% blood alcohol level) and sign a medical declaration to satisfy the Bridge Climb conditions. Lockers are provided as cameras, video recorders and other loose items are not permitted on the Bridge. After your climb, continue on foot to The Rocks historic district for a stroll through the area where the city's first settlers nailed together a small village. Classic terrace houses and sandstone cottages make up The Rocks, which is also famous for its numerous pubs. Step into one for a a glass of beer and a chat with the locals. You may leave the tour at The Rocks or return to the ship which is a short walk from the pub.
Ku-Ring-Gai Hidden Treasures
Delight yourself with this exciting 4WD tour which takes in the best features of this fantastic city--the harbor, the gardens, the coast, and the rivers. Beginning among the historical Rocks area of old Sydney, you will learn of the early settlers and convicts of over 200 years ago. Walk through the gorgeous Botanical Gardens, taking in the history of the Opera House and other famous buildings around the foreshore. At Circular Quay, board a ferry for a ride down the harbor to beautiful Manly. Here you will join a 4WD vehicle for a tour along the beautiful northern beaches and into the scenic Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is where the Hawkesbury River meets the sea in a tight cluster of secretive, winding creeks, sheltered beaches, hidden coves and wide expanses of deep blue water. You'll find heathlands on the sandstone ridges, dense forests on the slopes, and mangroves on the tidal mudflats. The park's scenic beauty is combined with a rich Aboriginal heritage and a strong sense of history. Enjoy a delicious café-style lunch at Akuna Bay, before making your way to some of the outstanding lookouts in the park--Palm Beach, Woy Woy and Lion Island, are simply breathtaking. Taking a short bushwalk to trace the history of the Garingai Aboriginal people who once inhabited this area, and examine their incredible rock art. Then return to the city over the majestic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Sydney & the Opera House
Discover Syndey old and new as you set out on this orientation tour, beginning with a drive through The Rocks--Sydney's oldest area. Located a stone's throw from the Harbour Bridge the winding narrow streets of The Rocks showcase two centuries of Australian life. Among Sydney's Victorian-era buildings, you will find dazzling examples of modern architecture. Watch for the Sydney Tower, the Queen Victoria Building, and the ultra-modern Darling Harbour Complex. In complete contrast, nearby are Chinatown, and Mrs.Macquarie's Chair. East of Sydney are the mansions of the finest residential areas--Darling Point and Watson's Bay. Yachts and launches line the harbor's edge. Sidewalk cafés and hip boutiques are the hallmark of Double Bay. You can't miss the Sydney Opera House, opened in 1973, and perhaps the most recognizable building in the world. Stop here for briefly to learn about the construction of its landmark roofline that is designed to replicate the sails on the adjacent harbor. You will stop next at Bondi, Australia's best-known surfing beach. This stretch of sandy bliss is lined by a collection of busy cafés and restaurants. Views from "The Gap" at Watson's Bay are spectacular views (weather permitting), and a photo stop here allows you time to capture them on film. Return to the city via Paddington, with its narrow streets whose houses are lined with picturesque verandahs framed by wrought-iron railings.

Travel back in time to Sydney's oldest village--the Rocks. This historic enclave sits in the shadow of the dazzling Harbour Bridge. Traveling through central Sydney, watch for the Sydney Tower, the magnificent Queen Victoria Building, the modern Darling Harbour Complex, magical Chinatown and Mrs. Macquaries' Chair. The most sought-after residential areas in Sydney are Darling Point and Watson's Bay. You'll also stop at Bondi--the world-famous surfing beach where delightful cafés and restaurants line the main street.
