A Walking Tour Through Lahaina's Past
Take part in a journey through Hawaii's past exploring both the prominent and lesser-known corners of historic Lahaina town. Your local guide will welcome you with a chant at the sacred Hauola birthing stone, a place of healing and creation. Visit Baldwin House Museum, a symbol of the missionaries who flocked to Hawaii. Travel down Luakini Street, once home to immigrants who toiled in the cane fields. Your walk will continue down Waineâ€Te Street to Waiola Church and Cemetery, where your guide will share the significance of the surrounding mountain views to Hawaiian Chiefs. Follow a Chanter to Mokuâ€Tula, the home and final resting place of Hawaiiâ€Ts monarchs. Your tour ends at the former surfing grounds of Hawaiian kings, at 505 Front Street Shops and Restaurants.
This excursion involves approximately 2 miles of walking. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen are recommended.
Adventure To Hana
Departing from Lahaina, travel along Maui's east coast passing the world-famous windsurfing Ho'okipa Beach Park before venturing onto the Road to Hana. Thirty miles of narrow, winding road offer views of coastline, lava cliffs and waterfalls. Pass farming areas producing taro, bananas and yams as they have done for hundreds of years. After lunch in the quaint town of Hana, your tour continues to Ohe'o Pools, Charles Lindberg's grave and upcountry Kula.
This tour is not recommended for guests who suffer from motion sickness or back problems or pregnant women. Should weather conditions become unfavorable, the tour will not be able to continue around the slopes of Haleakala Crater.
Atlantis Submarine
Submerge yourself into the underwater world of Atlantis Submarines! This once-in-a-lifetime journey aboard a 65-foot, air-conditioned submarine presents an opportunity to view Maui's underwater world. The submarine dive site is located just 2 miles from Lahaina harbor, and your tour begins with a shuttle ride along Maui's coastline. Arriving at the dive site, you will board the submarine and begin your underwater adventure. The Atlantis submarine is the world's most technologically advanced passenger submarine that descends to depths of 125-feet. Explore this watery world through 2.5 foot view-ports and see a variety of exotic tropical fish, coral gardens, moray eel, other marine life. The crew will share their love of the ocean and how the ocean is so much a part of Maui's rich culture and history.
Minimum height to participate is 3 feet tall. Comfortable clothing and sensible shoes for boat transfers and navigating the nearly vertical seven-step submarine ladder are recommended. Approximate dive time is 40 minutes.
Drums of the Pacific Deluxe Luau
The sound of the conch, the beating of the drums and the echoes of the Hawaiian chant signal that start of a Hawaiian Lu'au complete with an authentic imu ceremony and the flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. While you sample the tastes of Hawaii, the Drums of the Pacific Polynesian Spectacular take you on a journey through the islands of Polynesia featuring authentic dances and music of the old Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tonga, and Rarotonga.
Upon arrival you are greeted with a shell lei and welcomed with a mai tai or fruit punch, which are served all evening long, as well as an open bar featuring mixed cocktails. The evening begins with Hawaiian music and audience participation featuring hula lessons, poi ball lessons, coconut tree climbing, coconut husking and finally the imu ceremony, the unveiling of the main dish Kalua Pua'a. Your Hawaiian Luau feast includes an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring Kalua Pork, Huli Huli chicken, Mahi Mahi, and numerous dishes of the Islands. View greetings by Royal Polynesians followed by a Polynesian fashion show featuring the islands most exotic pareau (sarong) in creative styles. Follow the drums for an unforgettable Aloha!
Haleakala Crater
Journey to Haleakala Crater, the highest point on the island of Maui. At 10,023 feet above sea level, this crater could accommodate Manhattan Island with room to spare, while stacking the Empire State Building four times without reaching the top! Departing from the ship, your guided drive up the mountain will take you through Maui's diverse scenery. After reaching Haleakala National Park, take in the panoramic views from the summit. Last erupting in 1790, the crater of this dormant volcano measures 7.5 miles long, 2.5 miles wide and 21 miles around. Appreciate firsthand the unique qualities of this 3,000 foot deep crater with its mix of volcanic rock and plant life. Lunch is provided.
The air may be cool at 10,000 feet so please bring a sweater and wear comfortable walking shoes. Due to climatic changes, no guarantee is given for the views available at any given time.
Hana & Haleakala Helicopter Exploration
After a drive to the Kahului Heliport, climb aboard a helicopter and explore the contrasts of East Maui. Your flight includes the most requested points of interest: Haleakala Crater, Oheo Gulch (often mistakenly referred to as Seven Pools), Hana Town, Hana rain forest and the rugged shoreline of Northeast Maui. Your tour includes round-trip transfers from the ship.
Minimum age to participate is two years old. Due to weight restrictions on board helicopters, all participants must register their body weight at the time of booking. This is a requirement of the helicopter companies to ensure guest safety and comfort. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes.
Iao Valley & Maui Tropical Plantation
Your sightseeing begins with a guided drive to Iao Valley State Park. One of the highlights of the park is the Iao Needle, a 2,250-foot cinder cone pinnacle that dominates the surrounding terrain. Your sightseeing continues with a visit to Maui Tropical Plantation. A narrated tram tour of the Plantation's agricultural villages, sugarcane fields, macadamia nut orchards, and flower gardens is included. There will be time for browsing in the Made-on-Maui Marketplace before returning to the ship.
Kahakuloa - The Secret Hawaiian Valley
Step back in time to experience ancient Hawaii! Travel along the forbidden road which takes you north around the West Maui Mountains to Kahakuloa Valley a part of Maui rarely visited by outsiders. A stop is made at Kaukini Art Gallery, which features artists of Hawaii and offers you the opportunity to view and purchase woodcraft, ceramics, jewelry, Hawaiian quilting and more! Visit Kahakuloa Village, home to several families who live and practice the ancient customs including the cultivation of the Hawaiian staple food crop taro. Touring this small private Hawaiian village offers you the opportunity to witness, if only for a short time, the ways of old Hawaii.

Lanai 4x4 Trekker
Lanai is the sixth largest of the Hawaiian Islands and is known as the most secluded, located at the center of the island chain. Board the passenger ferry to Lanai at the Lahaina Harbor. During your 45 minute voyage across the Auau Channel view the islands of Maui County, including Maui, Molokai, Kahoolawe, Molokini and Lanai.
Naturalist guides will meet you on arrival at Manele Harbor with their 4-wheel drive vehicles. View a unique ironwood forest on your way to Garden of the Gods, natural red rock formations that often inspires visions of a visit to Mars. Other highlights include Shipwreck Beach, where the ship towering just offshore that brought this beach its name may be the only thing to interrupt your view of Molokai. Throughout your approximate 3.5-hour tour of Lanai, your naturalist guide will share facts, stories and legends of the region and its terrain, flora and fauna. After completing your tour of the Pineapple Island, you will be taken back to the ferry terminal for the ferry ride back to Lahaina Harbor. A picnic style lunch is provided.

Lanai Wild Dolphin & Snorkel Adventure
This adventure has it all - dolphins, sea turtles, snorkeling on a pristine reef, sailing, a tropical breakfast snack and buffet lunch! Your day begins on a catamaran, sailing west toward the Emerald Island of Lanai. Along the way, fresh-brewed Kona coffee and juices, tropical fruit and pastries are provided.
A research naturalist will introduce you to the world of the spinner and bottlenose dolphins that inhabit Lanai's near-shore waters. Stop for snorkeling at one of Lanai's pristine coral reefs and view tropical fish and coral. A buffet deli lunch will be waiting onboard, along with unlimited soft drinks and juice, as you relax and sunbathe while sailing back to Lahaina. All equipment and snorkeling instruction is provided.
Children 6 years and under are free. Wear a swimsuit under your clothing and bring a towel. Prevailing sea and weather conditions of the day will determine the snorkel location selected.

Here, in a park-like setting overlooking Ma'alaea Harbor, you will view, interact and learn about the numerous rare and exotic species of marine life that inhabit the pristine Hawaiian waters.
Maui Tropical Plantation Luau
E' Komo Mai! Come to the Maui Tropical Plantation and join an exclusive luau experience created just for you! The setting, 60-acres with tropical flowers and swaying palm trees with extended views of Haleakala and Waikapu Valley, helps make for a memorable evening. After departing from the pier by motor coach and arriving at the Plantation, be greeted with a shell lei and welcome cocktail. Hop aboard an exclusive narrated tram tour of the fruit fields and orchards for a unique opportunity to learn the origins and harvest techniques of Hawaii's commercial crops.
Afterwards, a luau dinner and entertainment experience awaits you. Feast on an all-you-can-eat buffet, including Hawaiian delicacies of Kalua pig, lomi lomi salmon and other fish and traditional side dishes. After dinner, sit back and view a Polynesian show that honors the first Polynesians sailing from the deep South Pacific to Hawaii. Maui Whale Watch
Join a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the grace and beauty of one of the earth's largest living creatures, the Humpback Whale. The whales migrate from Alaska, where they spend the summer months feeding, to the warm waters of Hawaii to mate and have their calves. Throughout your tour, a certified marine naturalist will interpret the whales' behaviors and give you the rare opportunity to listen to whale vocalizations through underwater hydrophones. This tour is a must for wildlife lovers.
This excursion operates from December through mid-May. The likelihood of seeing whales is good, but sightings are not guaranteed. Dress comfortably with a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. Children 6 years and under are free.
Rainforest & Waterfall Hiking Adventure
Your adventure begins with a narrated drive along a portion of the historic Hana Highway, a road famous for its tropical scenery and dramatic coastline. Your destination is the Garden of Eden, a tropical botanical garden that is manicured nature with an abundance of palms, tropical trees and flowering plants including several elevated areas with lookouts to view waterfalls and an expanse of ocean.
After a brief tour of the garden, you will descend into wilderness - hiking down 300 feet on a private switchback trail carved out of the hillside. At the end of the trail you hike upstream to 30 and 40-foot waterfalls and pools - an ideal spot for a rest stop, healthy snack and refreshing swim! Your guide will share Hawaii's geology, botany, culture and history throughout your tour. After a day of adventure, your return to the dock is along the Hana Highway.
Minimum age to participate is 6 years old. This excursion involves approximately 1.5 miles of hiking over uneven terrain with a 300-foot change in elevation. Participants will be supplied with backpacks and should wear their swimsuit under comfortable clothing, hiking or tennis shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and bring a towel.
Volcano Downhill Bike Tour
Take the downhill bicycle ride of your life as you cycle down Mt. Haleakala! Your adventure begins after a van ride to the chilly summit of Mt. Haleakala, located at 10,023 feet above sea level. From the summit, you will coast 22 miles through some of Maui's most beautiful scenery to the Sunrise Country Market in Kula. Coasting at 20-25 miles per hour, follow your leader while being protected from traffic by an escort van. Your tour includes complete safety instructions, a cruiser bikes equipped with drum brakes, a safety helmet, windbreaker jacket and pants, and gloves. The cycling portion of your tour concludes in Kula where you have a picnic lunch before the van returns you to the cruise ship pier.
Participants must be competent bicycle riders and comfortable using hand brakes while cycling downhill, at least 12 years old, in excellent health, a minimum of 58-inches tall, and not more than 250 pounds. Pregnant women are not allowed on the bicycles. Dress warmly (in layers), wear closed-toe shoes and bring along eye protection. Participants should be aware that there are inherent risks involved in any cycling excursion.
West Maui Molokini Crater Snorkel
After a 30-minute drive to Ma'alaea Harbor, board a motor vessel for a cruise to Molokini, rated as one of the top 10 snorkel sites in Hawaii. Arriving at Molokini, you'll have the opportunity to snorkel and see some of the area's marine life. In addition to a variety of tropical fish and coral, the snorkel site is frequented by Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Your guide will be in the water to provide insight to the fish and coral seen. Snorkeling equipment, instruction, snacks and cold beverages are provided.
Wear a swimsuit under your clothing and bring a towel. Prevailing sea and weather conditions of the day will determine the snorkel location(s) selected. Occasionally weather and sea conditions make it unsafe to visit Molokini Crater, in which case the Captain would take you to other snorkel sites off of West Maui, maybe even Turtle Arches or Olowalu.
